Countdown New Zealand Day 20

05/17/2020 by John 2 Comments

This is a series of posts that will log some of my thoughts in the month leading up to my moving back to New Zealand.

Clothing for Moving Around the World

  • 4 Warm Hats
  • 1 Pair Mittens
  • 1 Pair Gloves
  • 1 Down Jacket
  • 1 MicroPuff Hoody
  • 1 Bandana
  • 2 Buffs
  • Approximately 10 pairs of socks
  • 9 Pairs of underwear
  • 2 Rain Jackets
  • 1 Pair Rain Pants
  • 1 Wind Jacket
  • 1 Pair of Wind Pants
  • 3 Ball Caps
  • 4 Pairs of Pants
  • 5 Pairs of Shorts
  • Too many T-Shirts
  • 3 Short-Sleeve Button Downs
  • 2 Sun Hoodies
  • 2 Fleece Hoodies
  • 1 Running Hoodie
  • 2 Cotton Hoodies (Yes I have a hoody problem)
  • 1 Fleece Vest
  • 1 Wool Sweater
  • 1 Pair of Long Underwear Bottoms
  • 1 Pair of Running Tights
  • 1 Custom Made by a New York Fashion Designer Tommy Hilfinger Suit
  • I can’t bear to get into the shoes just yet

Once again, I feel like I have too much clothing. Time is running out, and everything has to go somewhere. I really don’t like this part.

I love hoodies and hats. Also tee shirts and coffee mugs. I love them in a strange way like they were alive. They flood me with memories of people and time. Pants, socks, gloves…not so much. Odd

That’s a lot of clothes! I think I’d have trouble with what boots to bring along… the rest I’d figure out once there.
